Cheeseburger fries are essentially chopped beef with cheese that has been shaped into sticks, breaded, and deep fried. You have not lived until you have dipped your frist cheeseburger fry into ketcup.

Start with a bowl of chopped meat. I added shredded cheddar cheese but I'm sure any cheese would work. Throw in some salt and pepper and mix up with your hands.

Roll the mixture into the shape of mozzarella sticks. Make them less than an inch thick so that the inside will cook.

Roll the sticks in flour, then beaten egg, then plain bread crumbs. Drop them in the deep fryer.

Please don't send me e-mails telling me to clean my deep fryer. I did a lot of frying this weekend. Besides, that's just FLAVOR.

Deep fry in oil of your choice -- I used corn oil -- until golden brown. You should cook a test piece first and cut it open to see how rare the meat is before you cook them all.

You can also roll the chopped meat AROUND a column of cheese. I like it mixed in, but a column of cheese in the center oozes out in every bite and looks cooler if you're serving them to company. You can also make them thicker without worrying about the meat in the center cooking.

Serve with a small bowl of ketchup and put off that cholesterol test for a few weeks.
